ମୁଁ କାଳେ ତୋତେ ଭଲ ପାଉଛି  

ଯେଉଁ ଆଡେ ଯାଏ, ତୋତେ ହିଁ ପାଏ । 
ଯାହାକୁ ବି ଦେଖେ, ତୋରି ଚେହେରା ହିଁ ଦିଶେ ॥ 
ଏମିତି, ଯେମିତି ହେଉଛି 
ମୁଁ କାଳେ ତୋତେ ଭଲ ପାଉଛି । 

ବହି ଯେବେ ଖୋଲୁଛି, ଭାବି ସତେ ପଢିବି କିଛି । 
ପାଠ ନାହି ସେଇଠି, ତୋରି ଛବି ଦୁଶୁଛି ॥ 
କଲମ ଯେତେବେଳେ ଧରୁଛି, ଭାବି ଲେଖିବି କିଛି । 
କେବଳ ତୋ ବିଷୟରେ ଲେଖି ମୁଁ ଯାଉଛି ॥ 
ଏମିତି, ଯେମିତି ହେଉଛି 
ମୁଁ କାଳେ ତୋତେ ଭଲ ପାଉଛି ॥ 

କଥା ନ ହୋଇ ରହି ମୁଁ ପାରୁନି, 
ହୃଦୟ ମୋର ଜଳୁଛି । 
ଶାନ୍ତିରେ ପଦୁଟେ କଥା ହେଲେ ତୋରି ସାଥିରେ, 
ଓଠରୁ ମୋର ହସ ଫୁଟୁଛି ॥ 
ଏମିତି, ଯେମିତି ହେଉଛି 
ମୁଁ କାଳେ ତୋତେ ଭଲ ପାଉଛି ॥ 

ତୋତେ ନ ଜଣାଇ, 
ତୋତେ ଦୁଃଖ ନ ଦେଇ 
ତୋଠୁ ଦୂରକୁ ଯିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରିବି 
ତୋରି ପକ୍ଷେ ହିଁ ଆସି ଅଟକି ଯାଉଛି ॥ 
ଏମିତି, ଯେମିତି ଲାଗୁଛି 
ମୁଁ ସତରେ ତୋତେ ଭଲ ପାଉଛି ॥
